Vidisha Chhajer is one of the many happy students of Welingkar’s Institute of Management to have secured placement in reputed firms. She recently received a job offer at Infosys, a well known IT giant. It is a dream come true for her. What does she attribute her success to?
‘I thank Welingkar’s Institute and Dr. Uday Salunkhe for my success’, she says. Dr. Uday Salunkhe is the Group Director of Welingkar’s Institute of Management. ‘My institute helped me immensely and the guidance of Dr. Uday Salunkhe has been influential on all students’.
There are many such success stories coming from Wellingkar’s Institute of Management, which is now commonly known as WeSchool. So what sets it apart from other institutes? One such quality is the location of the Institute. The institute is situated in Bengaluru’s Electronic City, and is flanked my Siemens, Infosys, and Wipro – three companies that are considered as giants of the industry.
Group Director Dr. Uday Salunkhe informed us that the institute organizes various programmes related to human resources, finance and marketing. Welingkar’s Institute is known for its innovation and design thinking. Under the leadership of the dean and Dr. Uday Salunkhe, the institute has soared to new heights.
Classroom programmes follow a hands-on approach to drive theoretical learning through live projects. Welingkar’s Institute has recently launched InnoWe, an innovative new lab. The objective of InnoWe, according to Dr. Uday Salunkhe, is to provide a platform for students to explore, develop and incubate business and design ideas.
Additionally, the institute has also developed a state-of-the-art, prototype lab where students can experiment freely. They can give real form to their concepts and test them in the prototype lab. The Welingkar staff actively encourages students to conceptualize ideas and experiment with them, says Dr. Uday Salunkhe, with a proud expression on his happy face.
