Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe’s Initiative ‘Merger Of Minds’ In-line With Prime Minister Modi’s Vision For India

Merger Of Minds At WelingkarWelingkar School’s recently concluded event the Merger of Minds – a brainchild of Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, truly did manage to bring together the brains of 40 institutational heads, corporate and HR faculty of B-schools in and around Mumbai.

Dr. Sanjay Deshmukh who has been recently appointed to the post of Vice-chancellor, Mumbai University was also seen at the event.

The motive behind the ‘Merger of Minds’ were to bring together these educators and facilitators and collectively work towards increasing the faculty skills and contemporarising mind-sets, attitudes, and knowledge.

Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe believes that this will help the faculty and the support staff to understand the needs and demands of students much better. In addition to of course preparing all their students much better for the dynamic job roles and industries that they will eventually be involved in.

While congratulating Dr. Sanjay Deshmukh on his appointment, Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe outlined the challenges faced by the educational sector and emphasised that collaboration was the key to creating a better a future for students.

Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Welingkar says, “Educational institutes have the responsibility remain aligned and contemporary with the stakeholders, which influence what is to be taught and how the same would be reflected in the behaviour and actions of our graduating students. This is the era of Mergers of Minds as unless we come together to co-create the future for all stakeholders, things will be difficult.”

Dr. Uday Salunkhe concluded his address with inspiring words, he said, “Let us adapt the SOS approach: that begins with transforming Self, Organization and Society. Let us collaborate to co-create a better future for all our students.”
